The course structure in this section is targeted at individuals, institutions, and organizations who want to acquire some basic skills required in Information and Communication Technology. This module is structured to deliver the essential knowledge and skillset required to use computers for basic tasks such as word processing, spreadsheets, internet usage, basic computer security, and presentations. These are basic IT skills required by all wanting to pursue careers in IT or any other career that includes management and other engineering disciplines, which are non-IT related.

Having basic and essential skills in computing is highly essential in this century, which is termed the computer age. Technology keeps advancing, and research is critical to the growth of every institution. The use of search engines for research and digital marketing is are common activities that require the use of computers in every institution. For these and many other reasons, institutions require the utilization of Information Technology to be able to grow.
